Writing Together
Visitors explore natural language understanding via creative interaction with an AI agent. Visitors are invited to write one line of a poem on a sheet of paper. After they have completed their line, an AI agent responds with a line it generates based on the visitor input, which it “writes” using a robotic arm. A visualization of the agent’s language understanding process is displayed in real-time behind the robotic arm. Engaging in linguistic dialogue with an AI agent allows participants to further explore the limitations and affordances of human-agent interaction and explore the ways in which agents computationally represent and reason about human language.
